Laser Printers
A laser printer is the best choice for most small to medium size companies. Any laser printer with a Windows printer driver can be used with Genesis
Advantage. Note and compare the “page per minute” ratings for
laser printers. This indicates the relative speed of each printer.
Dot Matrix Printers
A narrow carriage dot matrix printer can be used if you plan to use this printer only for printing customer sales invoices at point-of-sale. Dot matrix printers are not recommended for printing general reports because the printing speed under Windows is very slow.
Ink Jet Printers
Ink jet printers are typically intended for home use and very light office
applications. Some of the more expensive ink jet printers are designed for heavier use, but the cost per printed page is
very high compared to laser printers. An ink jet printer is a good choice for point-of-sale invoice printing, light office duty, or where color printing is required.
